"Thanks for the opportunity to share my experience -- but I'd more like to share it with management, rather than users. I was very much looking forward to staying there. I loved the feel of the hotel, the lobby and the history. The location was fabulous for various reasons -- including because I was visiting my nephew at school and could just walk less than a block. It was also easy access from the airport on the T and every where else I went.
However, the room (#518) had the following problems:
1. The clock was broken and could not be set.
2. The clock was plugged into a plug connected to the switch when you entered the room. so when you turned off the lights, the clocked went out also. (I have the clock replaced and was pleased that my request was met very quickly. However, the clock had to be moved to the other side of the bed and the cord could not reach an outlet. An extension cord was obtained pretty proptly and that was taken care of.)
3. The light for the desk was not plugged in. There was no outlet for it to be plugged into.
4. It seemed to me that too many things were plugged into another extension cord in the room (the TV, another light, the refrigerator). It made me a bit uncomfortable about the electricity in the room.
5. The water pressure was very good in the bathroom sink. Unfortunately, given the size and shape of the sink, when you turned the water on even a little bit, it splashed up from the pressure and sink size and shape and got me wet.
6. On the morning I checked out, when I showered, I discovered there was bearly any hot water in the shower at all. I was meeting someone and could not afford to wait to have this problem checked into. It was not pleasant to have to take a shower with the water temperature less than my body temperature. It felt like talking a cold shower -- eventhough I did not have the cold water turned on.
So, these are my comments. I wish I could recommend staying there again. I'd love to stay there when I return to Boston and recommend it to a number of family memebers who are making trips there. Unfortunately, with the experiences I had, I don't feel I can do so.
Are you making improvements in the future?
I would be very interested in hearing back from you about my experieince there. I assume with this email you can reply, but if not, please contact me at bobbonn@thehealthassociation.org or call me at 585-423-9490.
Thanks very much."
